Even the children have felt God’s love so deeply that they have set aside one day each month for

special prayers, just to thank Him for what He has been doing at the center and for the LFJ team. For the past three months, we’ve been holding these special prayer sessions in addition to our daily prayers. Since we began, God has been answering our prayers in amazing ways—for example, we have received insight and guidance about various issues with the behavior of the children.

In July, we spent much time in prayer about a 16-year-old girl named Ethel, who was struggling with poor choices despite coun- seling and prayer. After continued issues, she eventually left the orphanage without our knowledge and returned to her uncle’s home. With heavy hearts, we accepted her decision, knowing we had done our best to guide her. We continue to pray that God will help Ethel make better choices in the future, and ask that you will keep her in your prayers as well.
